Overall Equipment Effectiveness

BAE can also help you make certain that your equipment is running properly and is being used in the most efficient way possible. This is one of the most important lean principles. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) focuses on specific equipment or unit operation and all of the variables surrounding its maximum utilization, including equipment reliability, operator training, and planned and unplanned down time.

As part of our OEE program, we generate an events log. All events keeping the machine from running at full capacity are recorded and can be analyzed to determine where to concentrate improvement efforts.   

Lean programs can permanently minimize equipment issues and increase OEE. An Additional benefit of improved OEE is the quality of products produced in operations with high OEEs will be significantly higher.
